Mallett made this body of work for the exhibition Moodyville at Presentation House Gallery, curated by Helga Pakasaar, which focused on North Vancouver and the history of Presentation House. Through researching the history of Presentation House, including the gallery, museum and theatre, the artist uncovered multiple stories related to ghosts, which have been reported to haunt the building. Mallett stayed overnight at Presentation House to capture traces of the hauntings, through staging a séance, and employing traditional methods of “Spirit Photography” popular in the Victorian Era.
